Daily Power Snapshots – March 26th, 2024
Let’s Start Here
Daily Power Snapshots are a new morning review of the sector and subsector data spreadsheets that we post from time to time. This will be part of the elite memberships and will hit your inbox early for your daily preparation. These quickly show where each segment stands on the long, intermediate and short-term views from breadth and momentum perspectives. Also, keep an eye out for the weekend version where we put each snapshot for the week in a carousel so you can see how things changed as we progressed through the week.

The same sectors are holding strong here on the MA snapshot.

The majority of subsectors remain over the Number, the ones that aren’t have been laggards and notably leaned defensive; subsectors like Telecom, REITs, Household & Personal Products. Quite a few currently on Nitrous with RSI SMA columns green.

Mixed on the short term view. The biggest drags were Health Care and Communication Services, Except Media & Entertainment.

The heavier pressure today on the buyer’s side remained in Energy. The only selling pressure was in Construction Materials which is new as this has been one of the strongest within Industrials for a while now. Worth watching to see if it continues as the space could probably use a break.

No real big surprise where they were buying. Energy with a very solid 3mo highs reading on the back of OG Exploration & Production. Utilities are finally making some headway too.

New lows are showing in Communication Services and Health Care again catching most of the weakness the last few days as the rest of the markets seem to be heading the other way overall. It wasn’t just those two, 11 subsectors saw 10day lows light up today. We have seen weak Mondays and then strength from there in recent weeks, let’s see if that can happen again on this short holiday week.
