Jayant Bhandari sits down with Blake Morrow to discuss his views on India and why the market and western media is wrong on India. Jayant believes for many reasons why there is no future for the country, and why so many companies fail to launch operations in India. He feels that between the government and weak infrastructure of the country, most companies that want to move operations to India, end up not doing so.
India’s economy is bogged down by a harsh caste system, awful infrastructure, and a very weak consumer. These are structural imbalances that would take many years to fix. And many that believe India’s the next China are in for a potentially ugly surprise.
Jayant also discusses the reasons why he is so bullish, and continues to be bullish China and the Chinese economy. He also points out other hot spots in Asia that are very promising, like Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.
