Blake Morrow of #ForexAnalytix talks about the week ahead in #FOREX as the market is bracing for major headlines to come from the BRICS meeting this week and the Jackson Hole Symposium at the end of the week. The risk is that the BRICS members could make an announcement of an “internal currency” which may exclude the US Dollar. And at the Jackson Hole Symposium, traders will be watching to see if Fed Chair Powell gives any indication that rates will not go higher from current levels.
There is a lot of data being released this week like PMI data from the Eurozone, UK and USA. Also, Canadian Retail Sales, also the same from New Zealand. Mexico has CPI data and GDP as well. And Tokyo CPI could influence the markets at the end of the week.
Blake also takes a close look at the technical on the S&P 500, Nasdaq100, Russell2000 and Dow Jones Industrial Average. The German DAX is at major support and the Nikkei is approaching a big breakout point.
He also talks technicals on the gold market and where the key levels are at.
