Evergrande, China and the Long-Term Macro Impact
Jim Welsh of Macro Tides talks with Blake Morrow about the Evergrande debacle and how it could impact the global macro picture. Also, he discusses the FOMC and how that has solidified the taper timelines and how it could impact yields and the US dollar.
In September 2021, Evergrande China began experiencing a default crisis; various analysts have stated that the company is at risk of running out of money and being unable to pay all its debts, which in June 2021 were reported to total $310 billion USD.
